Mods & Rockers 11

This year was sort of a last minute deal. I literally had my little girl nine days previous and I found a stand in for a few hours so I could roll. The thing is by the time I got my bike ready and my shit together I forgot one thing, my damned camera. All the pics were done on my phone, sorry guys but its all I had to work with in the glaring and blinding sun.
I saw allot of good ol' friends that I have not seen in a while and others I see too damned much - lol

Good times, this Mods n Rockers was a bit smaller this year than the past two years but it was a positive and good time and literally in my book there isnt much more than you can ask for.

Be sure to check back throughout the next few weeks, I will be posting pics periodically as it suits me - hey its my blog so be it!

The Ton up crew - thanks

Beer of the Day

New Belgium Trippel: Abbey Trippel: 7.8% ABV: Limited Release: Draft
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

People can F%$K OFF

So, every time I try to sell a bike I get allot of questions and Im cool with that! but with this whole "cafe" craze as of late there are allot of kooks out there and its got to be a bit more annoying than ever before, so I would would like to just put it out there and say:

To the Guy that offered me $2500 fucking dollars for my Triumph, you know who you are -

Mr Cleaver Hates You

To the Guy who wants me to tell you where and how I made or bought everything because they were thinking of doing the exact same thing before they even saw my bike -
Mickey Mouse Hates You

To the Guy that uses Bro, Dude and Brotha in every sentence in an email just so you know he is down and he knows what up in the "now"... right "fellow rocker to another rocker" -
Brothas Hate You

To the guy that likes to play innocent but will not stop emailing over and over acting as though he's your friend but in reality trying to suck info like a Jehovah Witness -
Jesus Hates You

To the guy that wants you to work on his bike and emails one line questions over and over then finally asks for your phone number but never calls -
Weird Santa Hates you

To the guy that calls and lies and tells you that he has a particular bike that he wants you to customize but you soon realize he hasnt even purchased it yet -
Our Crappy President Hates You

Last but not least, the guy who saw your bike and emails letting you know he has always wanted to build a bike just like yours. But instead of paying you to build him one he says that he wants to replicate your bike to the tee and he wants to do it himself, so he asks if you could give him pointers along the way and help him find the parts that took you over a year to find yourself or make - you know, so he can do it himself -

The Original Greats HATE you

Deal of the Day

WOW -  I must admit I roll the 750 but I will attest Scorpion is the best helmet I have ever had - this is a great deal!

Beer of the Day

New Belgium Blue Paddle: Pilsner: 4.8% ABV: Limited Release: Draft
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Deschutes Hop Henge: Imperial IPA: 9% ABV: Limited Release: 22oz and Draft
First brewed in 2006, Deschutes Brewery’s Hop Henge Experimental IPA reappears this year with more extreme hop flavors than ever before. The new formulation is the epitome of the brewery’s experimental style and commitment to innovation, while gratifying their unquenchable thirst for beautifully balanced hoppy beers. The newest incarnation of Hop Henge uses several new hop processes and techniques to create a truly unique and unexpected beer. Several pounds of Centennial & Cascade hops are in each barrel with a heavy dry-hop presence to top it off. A blend of crystal, pale and caraston malts creates an overall biscuity characteristic that is dense and muscular, building the alcohol base to support the monstrous hop profile. 95 IBUs.

Royal Enfield Continental GT

Looks like in 2013 Royal Enfield may be putting out a brand new 500cc thumper cafe racer. Why not, people dig these bikes! this one looks like its pretty much ready to go, nothing left to do, a few take off and add ons to make it your own but literally done right. The longer I look at this future production bike at it all I can think is WTF is wrong with Triumph, really!
Any-who, keep a watchful eye out for this neat little bike, It looks like a winner as well a hoot to ride.

Beer of the Day

Alaskan Black IPA: IPA: Seasonal Release: 6pks
A new beer experience created from a combination of traditional beer styles. Alaskan’s spring seasonal features the hop-forward profile of an IPA with the dark black color and flavors of a fuller-bodied porter. A burst of fresh, citrus notes from Cascade and Centennial hops balance the hints of coffee and bitter chocolate with a subtle toasted sweetness and dark fruit highlights leading to a pleasantly dry finish. Alaskan Black IPA is made from glacier-fed water, generous additions of Cascade, Centennial and other Pacific Northwest hops, and an array of eight different pale, caramel and chocolate malts.
