Last Saturday after the Beer Booters I went to Anaheim with fellow Beer Booter and very good friend Creepy Creep Dylan to watch the guys do their thing - fun!

THE BEER BOOTERS EXTRAVAGANZA

For those of you that do not know or that are coming here as of late we had our very first Beer Booters get together yesterday. We had people from SD, LA, OC, Corona and Local show up, just to drink some great beer, make new friends and enjoy the different twenty or so bikes that were displayed in front of my house.
I cannot thank enough the sponsor's for all of their support as well everyone that showed up to just hand with nothing to loose but everything to gain...

The beer booters are a small group of guys that like great beer, moto and monster stuff, for us it is not about the scene, what bike you ride, what bullshit you may subscribe to or jacket you wear, its about ol' skool grass root get togethers and comradery.
For the future, were makin a Belgian double Hopped IPA in October over at Creepy Dylans house and Cider at the Julian Cider company in November. These will be closed events for the Beer Booters specifically, so if you want to partake please get your shirt and Ill have a beer boot waitin for ya.

Latis Imports donated a 5 gal of a super fantastic beer from Steenbrugge called Dubel Bruin. Its only 5 gal so when its gone, it is gone! I will have some extra beer in a cooler, but I strongly suggest if possible to bring some brews of your own in a back pack if you plan on getting extra thirsty...
For the members who show up with the beer booter shirt on will get a free plastic beer boot filled with beer as pictured. If you want a beer boot or want to become a member $25.00 will get you a shirt and a boot but you will have to wait for the shirt since I will have to put an order in for it - yes paypal is cool...

Stats: 4.8% ABV - 5 SRM - 12 IBU
A crisp and refreshing Belgian-style wheat beer brewed with coriander and bitter orange peel. The addition of lavender flowers adds a floral quality to this cask ale.


Spokesmen
3519 El Cajon Blvd 6-10 ....It has been a long standing tradition for the members of Spokesmen to get together on the Third Thursday of each month to socialize and check out each other's motorcycles. This month we will change venue. Same deals, new spot...The past few Third Thursdays at Small Bar have been extremely well attended and a really good time. Lots of cool people and hot bikes. The 25% discount on the food and drinks all night has been a great deal too. But like all great things, it must come to an end and we have to move on.

In the spirit of our times at Small Bar we're now headed to owner Blair's new place called ELEVEN. You may remember this venue as Zombie Lounge or Radio Room but forget all that because when Blair takes over magic happens! (Need I mention what he has created at Hamilton's Tavern too?)

Beer & God

A few weeks ago times two I was invited by a good friend to a little beer fest in Fallbrook to help support the local Catholic church - this was an old skool stylz to promote church and beer and I was all over it. I talked two of my good friends Matt and Dave into showing up with me to this little gathering of carbonated swill; although Im not normally a church supporter, the people, old friends and good beer made up for my insecurities right off the bat. As for the beer; there were some great ones - Angel city (IPL), Ballast Point (sculpin & Yellow Tail), Latis Imports (Palm, Steen Brugge's & Rodenback), Lagunitas (Little sumpin & IPA), Stone Brewing and a few others that I cannot remember off the back of my hand. I had a great time at such a small venue, ate some decent food, shot shit with good people and even got to rap with the parish Priest - all in all it was a great time, maybe one of the best beer tastings that I have ever been to.

Stats: 8.1% ABV - 28 IBU - 25 SRM
A rich and complex Belgian Strong Ale with caramel and dried fruit flavors, a touch of spice, and a warming finish.

What is Cask Beer

What is cask-conditioned beer?
Casks Cask-conditioned beer is an ale that undergoes a secondary fermentation by maturing in small casks (approximately 11 gallons), which give it more developed flavors than draught beer. It is also smoother then keg beer because it is dispensed without the use of carbon dioxide (CO2). Draught beer is pushed from a keg using CO2, while cask beer is pulled out of the cask and drawn into the glass using a siphon pump device called a beer engine. This is the traditional serving technique found in pubs in the UK.

Cask-conditioned ales are stored and served slightly warmer than regular beer. The normal temperature for cask ale is 50-55°F. This temperature allows more of the delicate flavors that are developed during the secondary fermentation to be tasted.

WUZU QUAN - Five Ancestor Boxing (Fist)

Pretty cool "rare" style of Kungfu that is not seen too often. Allot of people always say how can you fight like that - well you cant dumbass! is always my response. Forms are for conditioning and to teach the muscle and brain muscle memory - A good teacher and allot of practice incorporates the skills necessary to use it in a fight. WUZU Quan tries to incorporate the whole body into every movement big or small, pretty cool and some decent demonstration of the style and two different ways to approach it are on this video - dig it. The dude in the green is a bit too much but if he hit ya Im sure you would know it and not soon forget.

SUPER THURSDAYS

Another great Thursday coming up in Americas finest city. A few Brewers are trying to make Thursdays better than nature intended and yes I would have to agree... - 1 for mother nature!

August 5th – Double Dry-hopped Rye IPA
Stats: 7.5% ABV - 30 SRM - 70 IBU
2x the amount of Cascade hops gives this spicy Rye IPA a vibrant floral and grapefruit-like hop character.
Oh my oh my oh my - The love I have for a good Rye beer and then add hops, lots of hops! - holy cow, I never have had it but for some reason I know if I did I would wish I was married to it...



For me, this is the best Ballast Point cask beer that I have to offer - so far! super smooth, super good and quite crispy for a cask pour, cant beat it.
